Inuyama

Inuyama (犬山) is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is situated on the banks of the Kiso River and is known for its historic castle, traditional festivals, and beautiful natural surroundings.

One of the main attractions in Inuyama is Inuyama Castle, which is one of the oldest and most well-preserved castles in Japan. The castle was built in 1469 and is designated as a National Treasure of Japan. Visitors can explore the castle’s interior and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the top of the castle tower.

Inuyama is also home to several traditional festivals and events throughout the year. One of the most famous is the Inuyama Festival, which takes place in April and features a parade of traditional floats, music, and dance. Another popular event is the Cormorant Fishing Festival, which takes place in summer and involves fishing with trained cormorant birds on the Kiso River.
