JR Central Towers

JR Central Towers (JRセントラルタワーズ) is a high-rise building complex located in Nagoya, Japan. Opened in December 1999, it is situated above Nagoya Station, one of Japan’s busiest railway stations and a major transportation hub in the country.

The complex consists of two towers: the 51-story JR Central Towers Office Tower and the 53-story JR Central Towers Hotel. The buildings are connected by a large atrium and a pedestrian deck that spans over the railway tracks of Nagoya Station.

As of 2015, JR Central Towers was the second tallest building in Nagoya and the eighth tallest in Japan. It is also one of the world’s largest station building complexes in terms of floor area.

The JR Central Towers Office Tower houses numerous offices, shops, and restaurants. The top floor (51st) features a cafe, wine lounge, beauty salon, and health spa, offering stunning views of the city.

The JR Central Towers Hotel Tower is home to the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel, offering luxurious accommodations for visitors to the city. The hotel features 774 guest rooms, several restaurants and bars, a fitness center, and a spa.

A major retail anchor of the complex is Takashimaya department store, which occupies several floors of the building.

In 2017, the adjacent JR Gate Tower opened, further expanding the facilities connected to Nagoya Station. This addition has enhanced the area’s status as a major commercial and transportation hub in central Japan.

The JR Central Towers complex continues to be a landmark in Nagoya, offering a mix of business, retail, dining, and accommodation facilities all conveniently located above one of Japan’s most important railway stations.
