Noritake Garden

Noritake Garden (ノリタケの森) is a complex located in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is a former factory site of Noritake, a leading Japanese ceramics and tableware company, that has been transformed into a cultural and commercial space. The garden is easily accessible, just a 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station or a 5-minute walk from Kamejima Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line.

The complex includes several buildings and areas:

  • Noritake Museum: Showcases the company’s history and exhibits its products. Visitors can also experience pottery painting here.
  • Noritake Square Nagoya: Offers a wide selection of Noritake tableware and gift items.
  • Kiln: A restaurant where visitors can enjoy French and Italian cuisine using Noritake tableware.
  • Craft Center: Provides workshops for pottery painting and glass crafting experiences.
  • The Garden: A beautiful Japanese garden designed by renowned landscape architect Nakane Kinsaku. The garden features a pond, waterfalls, stone lanterns, and a variety of plants and trees, including cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in autumn. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to take a peaceful stroll and appreciate the natural beauty.
