Fukui Prefecture

Fukui Prefecture (福井県) is a prefecture located in the Chubu region of Honshu, the main island of Japan. Its capital is Fukui City, and the prefecture is known for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern industries.

Some of the most famous attractions in Fukui Prefecture include Eiheiji Temple, a famous Zen Buddhist temple that is one of the most important in Japan; Tojinbo, a series of cliffs along the coast that offer spectacular views of the Sea of Japan; and the dinosaur museum in Katsuyama, which is one of the largest and most impressive dinosaur museums in the world.

Fukui Prefecture is also known for its traditional crafts, including lacquerware, pottery, and textiles. The prefecture is home to numerous artisan workshops and galleries, where visitors can see craftsmen at work and purchase one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
