Kanazawa

Kanazawa (金沢) is a city located in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the capital city of Ishikawa Prefecture and is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan. Kanazawa has a population of approximately 460,000 people and is known for its well-preserved Edo-era districts, beautiful gardens, traditional crafts, and local cuisine.

Kanazawa has many tourist attractions, including the Kenrokuen Garden, which is considered one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. The city also has a number of museums, including the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, which features modern art and design exhibits.

Kanazawa is also known for its traditional crafts, such as gold leaf production and lacquerware. Visitors can learn about these crafts and watch artisans at work at various workshops and galleries throughout the city.

The city is known for its fresh seafood, sake, and local specialties such as Kaga vegetables, Kanazawa-style sushi, and the sweet dessert known as gold leaf ice cream.
