
Izu Shaboten Zoo (伊豆シャボテン動物公園) is a popular zoo located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The zoo is famous for its extensive cactus garden, housing over 1,500 species of cacti and succulents from around the world, and a wide variety of animals, including rare species such as capybaras, red pandas, and white tigers.
Visitors can stroll through the cactus garden and see cacti of all shapes and sizes, from tiny prickly pear cactus to towering saguaros. The zoo also has several animal exhibits where visitors can see and learn about a variety of animals, including monkeys, meerkats, wallabies, squirrel monkeys, chimpanzees, pelicans, flamingos, and more. One of the most popular exhibits is the capybara hot spring, where visitors can watch these giant rodents relaxing in a warm bath.

In both cases, get off at the last stop and walk up a slight incline to reach the zoo.
