Tonami Tulip Fair

The Tonami Tulip Fair (となみチューリップフェア) is an annual event held in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, usually during the months of April and May. The fair showcases over 2 million tulips of more than 600 varieties, which are planted in various locations throughout the city, such as parks, fields, and roadsides.

The Tonami Tulip Fair is one of the largest tulip festivals in Japan, and attracts thousands of visitors every year from all over the country and abroad. During the fair, visitors can enjoy strolling through the tulip fields, taking photos, and participating in various events and activities, such as tulip picking, tulip bulb planting, and tulip-themed craft workshops.

One of the highlights of the Tonami Tulip Fair is the Tulip Tower, which is a 30-meter high tower made entirely of tulips. The tower is illuminated at night, creating a stunning and unique sight.

1. Take the Johana Line from JR Toyama Station
2. Get off at Tonami Station (about 20 minutes)
3. 15-minute walk from Tonami Station, or 5 minutes by free shuttle bus (operates only during the fair period)

By Car
