Miyajima

Miyajima (宮島), also known as Itsukushima Island (厳島), is a small island located in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, near Hiroshima Prefecture. It is known for its stunning natural beauty and its UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Itsukushima Shrine.

The island’s most famous attraction is the Itsukushima Shrine, which is known for its torii gate that appears to float on the water during high tide. Visitors can explore the shrine’s various buildings and enjoy the picturesque views of the surrounding sea.

In addition to the shrine, Miyajima is also known for its hiking trails and scenic walks. One of the most popular hikes on the island is the Mt. Misen hike, which offers breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding islands.
