Kurashiki (倉敷) is a historic city located in the Okayama Prefecture of Japan. The city is known for its well-preserved Edo-era architecture, traditional Japanese gardens, and museums.
One of the main attractions in Kurashiki is the Bikan Historical Quarter, a district with buildings dating back to the Edo period (1603-1868). The district is located along a picturesque canal, and many of the old buildings have been converted into shops, museums, and restaurants. The Ohara Museum of Art is also located in the Bikan district and features a collection of Western art, including works by Monet and Renoir.
Another popular attraction in Kurashiki is the Ivy Square, a complex of buildings that used to be a spinning mill. The complex has been renovated and now houses shops, cafes, and a hotel. The Ivy Square is also known for its beautiful gardens, which feature ivy-covered walls and bridges over a small pond.
In addition to these attractions, Kurashiki is also home to several other museums, including the Kurashiki City Art Museum and the Kurashiki Museum of Natural History.
