Yamaguchi Prefecture (山口県) is a prefecture located in the Chugoku region of Honshu, the main island of Japan. It is situated to the west of Hiroshima Prefecture and is bordered by the Sea of Japan to the north. The capital city is Yamaguchi.
Yamaguchi Prefecture is known for its rich history and cultural heritage. One of the most famous landmarks in the prefecture is the Akiyoshi Cave, a limestone cave system that is one of the largest in Japan and features stunning rock formations and underground lakes.
