Sapporo Beer Museum

Sapporo Beer Museum

The Sapporo Beer Museum (札幌ビール博物館) is a museum located in Sapporo, Japan that is dedicated to the history and culture of Sapporo beer, one of the oldest and most famous beer brands in Japan. The museum is located in the original Sapporo Brewery building, which was built in 1890 and is designated as a historical building by the city of Sapporo.

Visitors to the museum can learn about the history of Sapporo beer, how it is brewed, and the cultural significance of beer in Japan. The museum has a collection of artifacts, including old beer bottles, labels, and advertisements, as well as brewing equipment and machinery used in the past.

One of the most popular parts of the museum is the tasting room, where visitors can sample a variety of Sapporo beers, including some limited-edition brews that are only available at the museum. There is also a restaurant (Sapporo Beer Garden) on the premises, where you can enjoy Jingisukan, a local Hokkaido dish that goes well with beer.

In addition to the museum exhibits, there are also guided tours available that provide a more in-depth look at the brewing process and the history of Sapporo beer.
