Hyogo Prefecture (兵庫県) is a prefecture located in the Kansai region of Honshu, the main island of Japan. It is situated between the Sea of Japan to the north and the Seto Inland Sea to the south, and borders Osaka Prefecture to the east. The capital city is Kobe.
Hyogo Prefecture is known for its cultural heritage, natural beauty, and culinary delights. One of the most famous attractions in the prefecture is the Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved castles in Japan.
Hyogo Prefecture is also home to several other historical landmarks, such as the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world, and the Takeda Castle Ruins, which are known as the “castle in the sky” due to their location on a mountaintop shrouded in fog.
The prefecture is also known for its natural beauty, including the scenic Rokko Mountains and the beaches and islands of the Seto Inland Sea. Hyogo is also a major producer of high-quality beef, known as Kobe beef, which is famous worldwide for its marbling and tenderness.
