Minoo Park

Minoo Park (箕面公園) is a natural park located in the northwestern part of Osaka, Japan. It is famous for its beautiful autumn foliage, attracting many visitors during the fall season, but it is also known for its beautiful fresh greenery in other seasons.

Minoo Park is situated along the Minoo River and features hiking trails that lead to Minoo Waterfall, a popular destination for visitors. The trails are well-maintained and relatively easy to navigate, making it accessible even for beginner hikers. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, deer, and various bird species, making it a great destination for nature lovers.

In addition to the natural beauty of the park, there are also several cultural attractions. Ryuanji Temple, which dates back to the 8th century, and the Minoo City Local Museum, which features exhibits on the history and culture of the area, are among them.

The Minoo Park Insect Museum is also a popular attraction, especially among children, with its extensive exhibits on insects.

Visitors can also enjoy local cuisine in the park, including the famous “momiji no tempura,” a local specialty made from deep-fried maple leaves, which can be found in several shops within the park.
