Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple (成田山新勝寺), often shortened to Naritasan Temple (成田山), is a large and renowned Buddhist temple located in the city of Narita in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the most important temples in the Kanto region and attracts numerous tourists and pilgrims.

Founded in 940 AD, the temple is dedicated to Fudo Myo-o, a Buddhist deity known for protection against evil and calamities. The temple complex encompasses various buildings and structures, including the grand main hall, a pagoda, a gate, and a museum.

One of the popular highlights at Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple is the Omotesando (表参道), a lively shopping street leading up to the temple. The street is bustling with shops and restaurants offering traditional Japanese souvenirs, snacks, and meals.

Another notable attraction within the temple complex is the Shinsho-in Temple (新勝寺), dedicated to the Shingon Buddhist tradition. This temple features beautiful gardens and exquisite buildings.

The temple also hosts various seasonal events throughout the year, including the Setsubun Festival in February, known for its bean-throwing ritual to expel evil spirits, and the vibrant Gion Festival in July, featuring colorful parades and traditional performances.
