
Fukuroda Falls (袋田の滝) is a scenic waterfall located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, about 120 kilometers northeast of Tokyo. It is one of Japan’s three most beautiful waterfalls, along with Kegon Falls in Tochigi Prefecture and Nachi Falls in Wakayama Prefecture.
Fukuroda Falls has a height of 120 meters and a width of 73 meters, with four separate tiers that cascade down into a pool at the bottom. The waterfall is surrounded by lush forests and rocky cliffs, making it a popular destination for hiking and nature walks.
In addition to the waterfall itself, the area around Fukuroda Falls has several other attractions, including a park with walking trails, a shrine dedicated to the waterfall, and a museum that showcases the history and culture of the region.
