Hakone Shrine

Hakone (箱根) is a mountainous area located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, about 80 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. It is known for its natural hot springs, scenic beauty, and historic sites, making it a popular destination for both Japanese and international tourists.

One of the main attractions in Hakone is the Hakone Open-Air Museum, which features a collection of modern and contemporary sculptures in a beautiful outdoor setting. Another popular attraction is the Hakone Shrine, a Shinto shrine located on the shores of Lake Ashinoko and surrounded by beautiful forested hills.

Hakone is also known for its hot springs, or onsen, which are scattered throughout the area. The hot springs are said to have therapeutic properties and are a popular way to relax and unwind.

One of the most iconic features of Hakone is the view of Mount Fuji from Lake Ashinoko. Visitors can take a boat ride on the lake or take the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car that offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
