
Chichibu Shrine (秩父神社), also known as Chichibu-no-Miya, is a Shinto shrine located in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is believed to have been founded in the early 9th century and has a long and storied history.
Chichibu Shrine is one of the oldest and most important shrines in the region and is dedicated to a number of deities, including the god of Mount Bukō, the god of agriculture, and the god of water.
Chichibu Shrine is also famous for its annual night festival, the Chichibu Yomatsuri, which is held on December 2nd and 3rd. The festival features large floats that are paraded through the streets of Chichibu, accompanied by traditional music and dance performances.
