Hitsujiyama Park (羊山公園) is a public park located in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The park is famous for its Shibazakura, or “moss phlox”, which is a type of flower that carpets the ground in a beautiful pink and white display during the spring months.
The park is home to over 400,000 Shibazakura plants of nine different varieties, which bloom from mid-April to early May each year. The park is situated on a hill, which provides a stunning backdrop for the flowers and offers visitors panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
In addition to the Shibazakura, Hitsujiyama Park also features a variety of other flowers, including cherry blossoms, azaleas, and tulips. There are several walking trails throughout the park, which allow visitors to explore the different sections and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The park also hosts a number of events and festivals throughout the year, including a Shibazakura Festival in late April and early May, where visitors can enjoy traditional music and dance performances, food stalls, and other activities.
