
Rikugien (六義園) is a traditional Japanese garden located in Bunkyo ward, Tokyo, Japan. It was built in the 18th century by a feudal lord named Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu. The garden is known for its beautiful landscape and its walking paths that offer visitors a chance to relax and enjoy nature in the heart of Tokyo.
The garden covers an area of 87,809 square meters and features a large central pond, a hill, and various small walking paths that take visitors through different parts of the garden. The garden is designed to represent different seasons, and visitors can see cherry blossoms in the spring, autumn foliage in the fall, and snow-covered landscapes in the winter.
Rikugien is also known for its tea house, where visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese tea and sweets while taking in the garden’s beautiful scenery.
