Fukuoka

Fukuoka Prefecture (福岡県) is a prefecture located on the island of Kyushu, one of the four main islands of Japan. It is situated to the north of Kumamoto Prefecture and is bordered by the Sea of Japan to the north and the Seto Inland Sea to the south. The capital city is Fukuoka.

Fukuoka is known for its delicious cuisine, particularly its tonkotsu ramen, a type of pork-based noodle soup that is a local specialty. Other famous dishes include mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and Hakata-style grilled chicken.

Fukuoka is also home to several famous landmarks, including Fukuoka Tower, a 234-meter tall tower that offers panoramic views of the city, and the Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, a historic Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deity of learning.
