Kyushu National Museum

The Kyushu National Museum (九州国立博物館) is a museum located in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is one of Japan’s four national museums and is dedicated to the history and culture of Kyushu, Japan’s third-largest island.

The museum features a collection of over 100,000 artifacts, including ceramics, metalwork, textiles, and other items related to the history and culture of Kyushu. The exhibits are organized chronologically and thematically, with displays covering prehistoric times to the present day.

In addition to its permanent exhibits, the Kyushu National Museum also hosts special exhibitions throughout the year, which showcase a variety of themes related to Kyushu’s culture and history.
