Kagoshima Prefecture (鹿児島県) is a prefecture located on the southern tip of the island of Kyushu, one of the four main islands of Japan. It is situated to the south of Miyazaki Prefecture and is bordered by the East China Sea to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the south and east. The capital city is Kagoshima.
Kagoshima is known for its beautiful nature, including Sakurajima, an active volcano that is one of Japan’s most iconic natural landmarks.
