Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch (ハウステンボス) is a theme park located in the city of Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. The park is designed to resemble a Dutch town, with a variety of attractions, shops, and restaurants that reflect Dutch culture and architecture. The name “Huis Ten Bosch” is the Dutch name for the Palace Huis Ten Bosch in The Hague, Netherlands, which inspired the park’s design.

Some of the main attractions at Huis Ten Bosch include a replica of the Palace Huis Ten Bosch, boat rides through the canals, a windmill observation deck, expansive flower gardens, and a replica of a Dutch village. The park also offers various rides, such as roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and VR attractions. Throughout the year, Huis Ten Bosch hosts a wide range of events, including a tulip festival in the spring, a rose festival in the summer, a hydrangea festival in the rainy season, a winter illumination festival, and spectacular fireworks shows.

In addition to the attractions and events, Huis Ten Bosch also offers a variety of accommodation options, with several themed hotels within the park. Guests can choose to stay in a traditional Dutch-style hotel or a more modern hotel with luxurious amenities.

The park is a popular tourist destination in Japan and attracts millions of visitors each year. It is easily accessible by train or bus from major cities such as Nagasaki and Fukuoka. Visitors can also explore the surrounding area, which boasts other attractions like the scenic Kujuku Islands and the famous Sasebo Burger.
