Mount Tsurumi

Mount Tsurumi (鶴見岳) is a volcanic mountain located in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, Japan, and is one of the most popular hiking destinations in the area. It is part of the Aso Kuju National Park and is situated east of Beppu.

The mountain has an elevation of 1,375 meters and is accessible by cable car, which takes visitors to a point close to the summit. By Ropeway (Beppu Ropeway)

From the lower Tsurumi Ropeway Station to the summit station
Travel time: About 10 minutes
Fares: Adults – 1,600 yen round trip, 1,000 yen one way
Children – 800 yen round trip, 500 yen one way
