
Saga Prefecture (佐賀県) is a prefecture located on the island of Kyushu, one of the four main islands of Japan. It is situated to the west of Fukuoka Prefecture and is bordered by the Ariake Sea to the south and the Genkai Sea to the north. The capital city is Saga.
Saga is known for its beautiful natural scenery, including the Mifuneyama Rakuen Garden, a historic Japanese garden that is famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage, and the Yoshinogari Historical Park, a large archaeological site that features reconstructed ancient dwellings and other artifacts.
The prefecture is also famous for its history and culture, including the Saga Castle History Museum, a museum that is located in the reconstructed Saga Castle and features exhibits on the history and culture of the region, and the Karatsu Kunchi Festival, a traditional festival that is held in the city of Karatsu and features large floats, parades, and performances.
In addition to its cultural attractions, Saga is known for its delicious cuisine, including Saga beef, a type of wagyu beef that is raised locally and is prized for its rich flavor and tenderness, and ceramics, including the traditional Karatsu-yaki pottery.
