Initial Report

Today, August 8, 2024, at 16:43, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred with its epicenter in the Hyuga Sea off Miyazaki Prefecture. The epicenter was approximately 30 km deep, and the seismic intensity was just under 6 on the Japanese scale in the southern plains of Miyazaki Prefecture.
