Tohoku Region (東北地方) is a region located in the northern part of Honshu, the main island of Japan. It consists of six prefectures: Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima. The region is known for its beautiful natural scenery, including mountains, lakes, and hot springs, as well as its rich culture and history.
Tohoku is also known for its resilience in the face of adversity, particularly after the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the region on March 11, 2011. The disaster caused widespread damage and loss of life, but the people of Tohoku have worked tirelessly to rebuild their communities and restore their way of life.
