Higashiyama Onsen

Higashiyama Onsen is a hot spring resort located in the Higashiyama Onsen district of Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. The resort is nestled in the mountains and is renowned for its natural hot springs, which are believed to possess healing properties.

By Train

1. Take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Utsunomiya Station
2. Transfer to the Tohoku Main Line to Koriyama Station
3. Change to the Ban-etsu West Line to Aizu-Wakamatsu Station
4. From Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, take a local bus or taxi to Higashiyama Onsen (about 10 minutes)

By Highway Bus

Direct highway buses are available from major cities to Aizu-Wakamatsu Station. From there, take a local bus or taxi to Higashiyama Onsen.

By Car

• From Tokyo: Take the Tohoku Expressway to Utsunomiya Junction, then the Tohoku-Chuo Expressway to Aizu-Wakamatsu Interchange
• Travel time: About 4 hours

From Nearby Airports

• From Niigata Airport: Take a limousine bus to Niigata Station, then transfer to a train or bus to Aizu-Wakamatsu
• From Fukushima Airport: Take a limousine bus to Koriyama Station, then transfer to a train to Aizu-Wakamatsu
